MOBILES TO OVERCOME WORLD POPULATION



It is assumed that by the end of next year the mobile phone count will overcome world population (as per subscriptions). According to ITU by the start of next year the count will cross 7 Billion mark which is currently around 6.8 Billion and current population of world is 7.1 Billion.
As per report currently more than 1-3rd of world is online. In old SOVIET UNION member countries on an average currently 17 mobile phones are being used per 10 persons and this count is least in South Africa where only 63 mobiles are being used per 100 citizens.
Report also says that there are approximately 2.7 Billion people are online which is nearly 40% of the world's population. Europe is leading in this where 75% citizens are online, in America its 61% and in Asia 32% citizens are online.


Note: Count is based on total mobile subscriptions.
